CHRONOSKOP CHR-9 TIMEGRAPHER

CHR-9 – OUR NEW MODEL

Chronoscope CHR-9 is our new timegrapher model. CHR-9 is a fully electronic test instrument for measurement of mechanical watches that uses acoustic or optical signal of the clock. It can be determined values such as aisle, beat number, beat error and cycle time. For evaluation, the observation of the signals on the time axis or a diagrammatic representation of the passage may be used. All taken from the measurement information is displayed on the illuminated graphic display. With the headphone jack, you can listen to the operation of a clock directly. Thanks to a balance on the radio signal DCF77 with the atomic clock in Mainflingen an accuracy of up to a few seconds per year is achieved, which would otherwise only be realized with great technological effort. The use of the latest microcontroller technology in conjunction with modern SMD technology allows a compact solution that does not need to be ashamed in front of expensive large-scale equipment. Compact design (9cm x 9cm x 4cm) gives the device manageability; it is easy to transport and can be due to the external battery pack used as mobile device.

ACOUSTIC MEASUREMENT

The device is equipped with a built-in piezo microphone that allows an acoustic measurement of watches. For decoupling of the disturbances, the piezoelectric disc is supported on a foam. The device filters the noise digital. Due to the high sensitivity surrounding noise should still be avoided. A knob lets you adjust the sensitivity of the piezoelectric microphone.

OPTIC LIGHT BARRIER MEASUREMENT

The CHR 9 timegrapher allows a measurement of pendulum clocks based on the principle of optical light barrier. The corresponding IR transmitting diode and the receiving diode are incorporated in the rear wall of the device. In the optical measurement, a light beam is emitted from the infrared diode, and is received back after reflecting on a pendulum or the supplied reflector to a receiver diode in the device. As soon as during the measurement of a pendulum the pendulum interrupts the light beam, a pulse is detected. The reflector is included.

USB / SERIAL PORT + PC SOFTWARE

USB and Serial port + PC software CHRONO PORT 2.0 on CD
With the new PC software “CHRONO PORT 2.0” you can follow, print and save the measurement directly on the PC. All data are constantly sent to the computer and displayed as numerical values and graphics. Direct data transmission makes the entire measurement represented in a movable endless graphics window. The recognition of the ports happens automatically. Once the device is connected, the connection appears as “Connected”. The language of the software (English, German and Polish) can always be changed in the menu. Measurements can be saved as graphic a project and recalled later. The report of the measurement is summarized on a sheet of A4 paper. The software can be installed on the computer (2 MB), but can also start from the disc.
System requirements: MS Windows since version Windows 98th
The device also works without a PC.

RADIO WAVES CALIBRATION

Due to an adjustment by the radio signal DCF77 with the atomic clock in Mainflingen an accuracy of up to a few seconds per year can be achieved. The use of the latest microcontroller technology in connection with modern SMD technology allow a compact solution that does not need to be ashamed of expensive large-scale equipment. Compact design (9cm x 10cm x 4cm) gives the device manageability; it is easy to transport and can be used in many places due to the battery.

QUARTZ OVEN

Built quartz oven: The frequency of the clocking oscillator of the device may vary slightly depending on the ambient room temperature. This is not very important when the measurement takes place in unchanged room temperature, but in order to ensure maximum accuracy, the internal oscillator is heated controlled at a constant temperature. This compensates for the temperature dependence of the crystal. Thus, measurement of highest requirements.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

DCF77 RADIO RECEIVER

Calibrating the internal quartz works via the comparison with the atomic clock in Mainflingen near Frankfurt. The time signal is broadcast over the radio signal. DCF77 is a longwave emitted over time signal. DCF77 is broadcast on the normal frequency of 77.5 kHz as time information in coded form. It has a range of about 2000 km around Frankfurt / Main or Mainflingen. In DCF77 signal the time information the next minute is coded. The DCF77 signal is the definition of the “right time” of Germany. The instrument is supplied calibrated. Once the measurements in comparable temperatures take place (for example, at the same room temperature), a new calibration is not necessary. ATTENTION! The reception of the signal is dependent on location and is outside Germany not guaranteed! The DCF77 receiver is not inevitably included and may have to be ordered.

POSITION MICROPHONE

With our location in microphone, you have the ability to measure a watch in any location. The clock is fixed with four sliders which are each fixed with a knurled screws. The position microphone is equipped with tripod thread to be mounted on a tripod (tripod is not included). Also, be aware to chose a tripod that holds the weight of the microphone and the clock. Our company is not liable for damages caused by falls of the microphone. Visible in the photo clock and is not part of the position microphone.

CROCODILE MICROPHONE

The crocodile microphone is to be clipped to the watch case. Especially suitable for measuring mechanisms of large clocks. Very good decoupling from the ambient noise.

HISTORY OF CHRONOSKOP TIMEGRAPHERS

We assumed the activity in 2006 as PRELIS Electronic in Germany. Initially, the company was engaged in design, production and sale of timegraphers – electronic devices used to measure the accuracy of mechanical clocks (see: Chronoskop). Soon our activity extended on application of intelligent electronic solutions based on microcontroller electronic.

After moving the business to the Poland in 2015 as a consequence of merger with ML-IT company we transformed into the current form – Lisit.net. At the same time our range of services expanded for broad services in the IT industry.

All timegraphers are soldered and assembled by hand in Germany and in Poland.

FAQ

DO I NEED TO DCF77 RECEIVERS?

Each appliance that leaves our house is calibrated prior to shipping. Recalibration is not necessary for measurements. Would still perform a new calibration, however, please order the optional DCF77 receiver.

CAN MICROPHONES THIRD PARTY BE CONNECTED?

When using the appropriate adapter to 3.5mm jack, it is possible to use piezoelectric microphones from other manufacturers, as they are not operated or reinforced with its own power supply. Due to large range of third-party, we can not offer an adapter for connection.

HOW LONG CAN THE MAXIMUM LENGTH MEASUREMENT / INTEGRATION TIME BE?

Our Geraet recorded maximum 65,000 strokes in the measurement. The maximum measurement time (and hence also the integration time) shall be determined from the stroke rate. In a Schagzahl of 18000, the maximum integration time is thus 65000/1800 = 36,1h. With deactivated integration to measure only the last 5 seconds are considered.

WHY DO I SOMETIMES DIFFERENT RESULTS IN TWO SUCCESSIVE FOLLOWING MEASUREMENTS?

As a result of the measurement is, when switched integration time, the current measured value, or with activated time integration, the measured value, which is averaged over the total duration of the measurement. Note, however, that the transition of a clock, for example, in the first minute is different from the next. If the measurement result is near an ideal clock, it can even mean different signs of the measurement result. This behavior can be observed on the graphical representation of measuring well. In these cases, a longer measurement is needed which provides a stable average value is necessary.

CAN VALUES AS PRESSURE, ENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY IN THE MEASUREMENT BE INVOLVED?

No. A development in this regard is, however, contemplated.

“A masterpiece combines the moment with eternity.”
